OUR MISSION

Our mission is to be the best Florida Bird Sanctuary and life-care facility for captive exotic birds. In particular, we will be a refuge for Hyacinth Macaw, Cockatoos, Green Wing, African Grey, Eclectus, Sun Conures and other exotic birds. Zaksee Florida Bird Sanctuary is an important step in helping the unwanted, unloved and abused parrots.

We are also dedicated to Parrot Education, and teach the public that having a Parrot is a life long responsibility, not a decision to be taken lightly. We are trying very hard to make people understand that these are wild exotic animals and should not be bought to sit in a cage in or a room by themselves. They need time to play and time to be out of their cage. If you don’t have the time or the place for them to roam, please don’t buy one.

Zaksee Florida Bird sanctuary is dedicated to the welfare of companion exotic birds. We promote healthy guardian/bird bonds by offering public outreach, education and support to all the Bird lovers. As one of the top Florida Exotic Bird Rescue and organizations, we offer an intensive intake, surrender service as well as providing sanctuary to unloved, abused and aggressive exotic avian out there. We are here for all your needs and to try to be the best Exotic Parrot Rescue/Sanctuary it can be. Parrots can be very fun pets to own. Like any pet though, you need to train your parrot to exhibit behavior appropriate for your home. “Unruly parrots” often lead to unwanted and even abandoned parrots. Parrots though can be delightful when properly trained. Remember that as a pet owner it is your responsibility to train your parrot just like it’s the parents’ responsibility to train their kids.

All pets, especially dogs and furry cats, need regular grooming. Parrots, however, need it ten times more because it not only keeps them smelling, looking and feeling good, it also assures them of stable health and safety.
