Donate Money

Zaksee is a 501(c)(3) designated not-for-profit, so any money that is donated is tax deductible. More importantly, 100% of the money donated goes directly to the rescue and rehab of the birds at Zaksee. The operating costs at a place like ours are tremendous. Here is some of what your money goes towards:

Building Maintenance: Flight cage, maintenance of perches and new toys.
Food: All types of foods for birds, including specialized diets, vitamins and nutritional supplements for malnourished birds.
Vehicles:Gas, insurance and other costs for vehicles to retrieve injured birds as well as to take birds to and from veterinary appointments.
Operating Costs: Utility, telephone and other basic operational costs for the entire facility.

These costs can quickly add up, and even small financial donations are welcome. Cash, checks and money orders are all useful (you can donate with our Paypal link below too!), as are gift cards to pet stores, home stores and chains like Target and Wal-Mart where supplies can be easily purchased. It may be hard for one birder to donate $1,000, but if 1,000 birders all donate only $10, the donation can help our facility offer critical services to birds in need.

Donate Vehicles

Donate Materials

As you might imagine, it’s a lot of work to keep Zaksee Bird Sanctuary clean and our birds well cared for. We have a lot of needs at the preserve, and any used items you have that can be donated would be greatly appreciated. For a list of materials that would help, take a look at our wish list.
